Scope Adjustments

I need some advice on getting my 6 BR on target at 1000 yds. Now using a Weaver 36x on this gun. Will I have enouth adjustmas interenally or will I need to get a rail to fit my action? How much down on the rail?

Thanks
George

You definitely need a rail, 20 moa should work. Even if you manage to get on target with out one you will be at or near the maximum of your vertical adjustment.

Orrrr, you could go with Burris Sig rings and put a -20s in the front and +20s in the rear. I did this with my 308 with a Burris Sig scope which has only abt 40 moa of ele. I got on paper after boresighting and was around 17" high at a hundred (iirc, but not sure) and had my ele all but bottomed out so went to 600 then 800 (another 85" from 600). Those rings gave me what I needed to shoot the longer distances at our club - we had to qualify/sdemonstrate we knew how to figure moa to keep everything in the backstop at 800.

Those rings won't mar your tube and they are a heckuva lot cheaper than a 20moa or more one piece mount. HTH ;)
