I guess it mostly depends on where you tend to roam. In some places, 100 yards, COM would be a solid requirement. Other places, 7 yards would do. If you only carry a handgun, and have criminals or terrorists with rifles running about, what accuracy standards would make you most comfortable?

If you are relying on a Glock, or any handgun, to protect you from bad guys at 100 yards, you need to renegotiate your contract and make a few life adjustments!

On that we agree as well. I'm a rifle guy. If things were to go to violence and I had my choice. It would be a rifle in my hands, not a Glock, regardless of range. (OK, it'd be a 12ga up close). Sadly, rifles don't concealed carry very well.

Never owned a Glock, I have no opinion on them other then they don't appeal to me.. I have owned a Beretta 92 FS, Kimber Stainless Target II, Ruger GP 161, Ruger LCP along with others that didn't make it to a holster for other then hunting.. Favorite was the Kimber and I will add, shot very well for many thousand rounds.. Beretta got used heavily (days when ammo was cheap) with no problems.. My shopping list when I find one NY compliant (ten rnd mag) is the Walther PPQ .40 cal, Gun feels good in the hand and trigger reset is nice..
