Are you sure? kimm708 has been a member for almost 13 years and has just now tried a scam. Maybe his acct has been hacked. Ask for custom photo.

I did. He used the exact text and pictures from the snipershide ad.

i was just zooming with some family that lives in japan. i told of fighting with ebay over lost freight. they said the way it works over there is the $ is not released to the seller until the buyer receives and checks the package - at which time the buyer goes online and verifies receipt. only subsequent to that does the seller actually get the moola. in essence, escrow on all online transactions....

He sent me a reply to a wtb as well. When I would only use PayPal g&s he went dark. I'd assume he's hacked. @Forum Boss

Contacted me today about some brass i am searchinf for and said he would do Pay Pal FF, venmo, and other electronic payments. I noticed there was no feedback and I could not search for him. I quit talking to him.

We see suspicious activity starting August 13, 2024.

The kimm708 account has been BANNED.

It appears the account was taken over by a criminal (or group of scammers) based in Arizona. But we did see one connection from the UK.

We do ban VPN and proxy connection, But it looks like the bad guys have a way to mask their locations even without a VPN -- perhaps with the use of multiple cell phones. There was no password change so it looks like an older account was hacked, probably because a password was shared with other forums.

As we have explained many times, if a non-silver or gold member responds to a WTB add you should assume that the person is a scammer. It is against our rules for a non-silver or gold member to respond by PM to want to buy ads.

In addition, you should never ever buy anything using PayPal friends and family, Zelle, bitcoin, Apple Cash, Google Pay. And never ever ever buy anything without a voice phone call. Voice. Repeat VOICE! And insist on custom photos.
