They are listing powders “in stock“ that everybody knows are simply not available at this time.

If you gave them your card info, it'd be a good idea to call the issuer's fraud department and get that number cancelled.

And I suspect they followed up asking you to send them a Venmo or Zelle payment??? If you didn’t recognize the other signs it was a scam this would guarantee it is a scam.

This picture says all you need to know. The cash app option is a dead giveaway as is they can’t directly process a credit card where they direct you to contact via chat or email where they most certainly will try to get you to pay via a cash app where you’ll have absolutely no recourse when you figure out you’ve been scammed.

I always check a “new to me” site using https://www.scam-detector.com/find-scams/. It has saved my butt several times.

For every legitimate Vendor that lists it at ”$400+ for 8 pounds and unavailable”, there are a page full of these scammers that are offering it at pre Covid prices and of course, available.
And none take established Credit or Debit cards.

These guys are making that “Liberian Prince” look like an amateur

Well I've used a LOT of not known to me vendors the last couple years since I got back into shooting after a decade break. That said I always did a search before I even hit the site, looked for comments here, the hide, and other well known sites and of course the normal review sites. When you see mult long time members say it's good to go that's a good sign, then hitting the site and no venmo, coin, or other obvious scammer stuff helps too.
Even then I only use a credit card and one where the card vendor has a history of quickly and easily fixing issues with sellers. On top of that for on-line I generally use a virtual card with only enough daily limit to get er done and of course alerts set on the account so I know about anything hinky going on. This way if you end up with a bad actor at least they are somewhat contained in the damage they can do until you notice and can call it in and lock the card number. Using a virtual card you also can simply permanently disable that card and not have to get a new physical card.

My point being "known vendors" only applies to those you know, but yeah just the name of this one was a dead giveaway as many of these scam sites have similar names. As shown above, the content caps that off, don't even need to check references, it's a non starter... I've found a ton of super nice deals on unknown to me sites, but I always do my checks first, even if I miss out due to a rush on the item.
