Scales

Here's my FX 700 CT in action with an auto-dispensing system I built using a microcontroller and some robot parts...

I can dispense my 308 loads in 30 second all day long...

NV HP...If you want to speed up the process to under 10 seconds, try throwing a 1-2gr light charge in the pan so it only autotrickles that last little bit. I have an autotrickler on my balance and to throw the charge and finish it out is down to under 10 seconds. My unit operates much like yours with a stepper motor.

i bought a Ohaus 10-0-5 (Or was is it a 10-0-5?).. either way.. (well actually my daughter bought it for me with my funds and shipped to him), the last time i talked to him, he said that the box was there.. i forget how long ago that was now.. but it has been quite a while now.
Sounds like Scott's a busy guy .

very cool, sounds really similar! I have that as an option too, but my preference isn't to handle any powder until I actually pour it into the case because reaching into the windscreen is cumbersome.

If you mount a computer camera looking at the needle, you can watch the movement on a computer screen. That way the position is always the same. You don't have to keep bending over to look at it, and most likely from varied position with your eyes. It allows you to keep the scale down on the table in front of you, so that you can more appropriately watch the pan while adding kernels.

Ringo I use a prism for this purpose, not as fancy but eliminates the bending over. Also provides a little magnification. Net result is its easy to see 1/3 of the 0.1gr graduations.

What do most of the top f class shooters weight their powder with ? A balance beam or high end electronic scales ? Curious to know.
I have always used the best scale that my money could buy at the time.. i just ordered a FX-120i and it should be here on Friday.. but there is nothing like a back up.. or a travel scale..

Well in the beginning, it was a Redding Beam scale.. i think that i wore that one out.. then i got an Acculab 123, after that, it was the Denver Inst TP-153, which has now given up on me, so not only you, but myself as well, will be looking forward to seeing how good it works.. it will be here tomorrow, after noon..
