Scales - A&D FX 120i or Gempro 250

I am happy with the performance of my Gempro 250, there is minimal, if any, drift and it's an excellent scale for the money.

The one thing that makes me think I might upgrade is the waiting time when trickling up.

I don't have much spare time for reloading and carve out time when I can get it from work/family responsibilities - so, have been thinking about upgrading to a "mid range/cost" scale the A&D FX 120i.

Would anyone users care to comment ? I am particularly interested in the scale's response when trickling up.

I have both and I think I much prefer the A&D FX 120i. The A&D is much bigger, so takes up more room on the reloading bench if you are pushed for space like I am. The Gempro is easier to carry around if you travel and reload. My Gempro does drift and needs regular zeroing, but maybe I have a bad one.

How do you find the A&D when trickling up ? Is there much delay for a single kernel or is the new reading more or less instantaneous ? Does it drift much ?

Good point to consider re bench space, my current set up accommodates the Gempro nicely, how much larger is the A&D ?

The A&D is more than twice as wide and long.
The A&D does show the weight increase with each kernel within a second or less.

I have an A&D FX 120i and after using and selling about 5 different scales in the past 10 years have found what I believe to be one of the best out there. Its more of a lab scale and it has 3 different response speeds depending on your surroundings you can program into it with the press pad keys. My reloading room is not the cleanest and most sanitary but the scale does its job and then some. I run mine thru a power line conditioner and shut off the compute and flourescents when I use the scale and there is zero drift. For lite i use one of the cordless 18 inch shop lites and hang it above the scale. I can trickle one grain at a time of H4895 using my Omega trickler and get my charges dead on every time. I do also leave it plugged in most of the time. Its actually fun to use!

I have sourced one at discountscales.com for about $600 which is a pretty good price. Just got to find more room on the reloading bench.
