since I am currently putting together a little .308 class rifle that I would like to shoot this coming weekend in a match, well, Brunos had a new 12-42 Nightforce in stock so I bought yet another Nightforce instead of waiting until who knows when.

Yeah, nice buzz on all the new stuff but the buzz doesn't help if you need it today. Well, just MAYBE I'll do a fast twist .223 next so maybe that one might have something else on it, or not.

You probably made the right call as NOBODY at S&B is even venturing a potential import date.

For those who don't need 42-power magnification, it might be worth waiting a bit for the new Sightron 8-32. It was very bright and sharp. It looks like it will cost a bit less than a Leupold LRT 8-25. Since the LRT is actually about a 24X at max power, the new Sightron really does represent a significant step up. I was very impressed with the new 8-32x56 Sightron.

The 12.5-50x56 S&B is stupendous, but it might not arrive for 8 or 9 more months....
