Savage stock...

I want to do a savage rifle in 6.5 X 284 with a min spec neck..something accurate & long range capable..The only thing slowing me down is the stock..I'm not fond of Savage stocks..Except maybe the newer laminate varmint style...Anyone have a Stock to sell or ideas on a decent price one I can locate...for a long action 116 SS ..or equivalent..mike in ct

the Choate "ultimate varmint" stock than Savage puts on some models work pretty well and can be ordered from the Choate people for under 100$ as i recall. The "ultimate sniper" model is less rigid??? or something, or that was the story a couple of years ago.
