savage stock questions...

i have been looking for a stock to put my savage 110 action and barrel assembly into. i was looking at the Choate ultimate varmite stock. after looking for a while, i found B&C's MEDALIST stock. VERY SEXY.... only one problem..... they only seem to be for savage short actions. is there any way to turn a short action stock into a long action stock?

can a remington 700 long action stock be alltered and made to work? i think that the trigger gaurd might be different, but i could get one of those if it would work? or would i just be in more distress afterwards?

They sell a lot of other things for Savages so you might find this to be a real source for all things Savage - I do. They are GOOD people.
