OK fellow Savage Bolt Nuts.... (or maybe you're not a Savage fan - but worth reading...)
I'm on a mission to thin the heard and reduce my home footprint (wife says so)
so here is one of my "fun" freedom sticks!
You can find this old post somewhere around these parts (well - actually over on Savage Shooters site), but here was my post when I first "found" it...
Since then, she's had a few upgrades...
- Relieved of her factory stock and replaced with a Kevin Rayhill Stockade Hunter/Sporter stock (custom blue Cerakote) Light fiberglass and aluminum bedding block that has been fully bedded. 13.5" LOP with 1" Stockade recoil pad.
Includes choice of single shot adapter or blind mag (5 rounds) - or both for full price offer.
- Cerakoted the action and barrel to a SS finish and upgraded the bolt handle to the larger SS. Barrel is a factory 1:9 Heavy Varmint profile.
- Replaced factory trigger with a Rifle Basix single stage, and trigger pull has been safely set to 1lb 6oz (very crisp and no overtravel).
- Fluted the bolt and reworked the action for lighter bolt lift, etc. Purddy!
She shoots bug holes (when I do my part) but I don't have any targets to share with you (I have not shot this rifle in years). She hasn't had many rounds as far as I can tell and the bore is bright and shinny as she should be.
Price Drop $590 + shipping. Rifle complete without Scope and Rings (shown in pics). Scope is SOLD (not included). The front rest (Sinclair) is NOT included folks (you probably knew that, but I had to say it for the other fella). Whatever we agree on, keep in mind I am working this from the perspective that you are gonna pick up the cost of shipping and insuring (if you want it) to your FFL...
As you would expect, we'll follow all applicable laws and transfer via your FFL. Payment needs to be in advance of shipping (again - to your FFL). By purchasing this rifle, you're acknowledging to me, all these fellas, and the rest of the world that you are legal to legally posses this rifle in accordance to your local, state and federal laws. I am a private seller and am legal to ship it directly to your local FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that your FFL will accept transfer from me (a private party). If your circumstance should require me to ship it to your FFL via my FFL, there will be a $25 fee for my FFL to transfer it to your FFL (whew... that's a mouthful). Ask questions and the wife says I need to sell some of my toys, so let's see what can be done to put this into someone's hands who will enjoy the you know what out of it!

| Today - I picked up a rare find. I bought (and took delivery) of a genuine Stevens 200 in .223 Rem... WITH A HEAVY VARMINT BARREL! (not the typical factory sporter version) Yep... say it isn't so (you'd be wrong)? I had no idea, but apparently Gander Mountain had a run of these made by Savage for them (and priced at $499 if my information is not incorrect) back in I believe late 2008 and/or early 2009. A Part Finder lookup comes back with: MOD 200XP 223 REM VARMINT BLK OX (albeit this is a factory blue finish). |
