Savage single shot adapter

I have a Savage Target action with blind mag that I want to put in the BR stock and convert to single feed. The stock does not have a cutout for a mag. I know SSS sells a single shot insert that goes in the bottom of the action and is held in place by the stock. Looking at the description it looks like most of them go into the box mag but the description of the Savage short action looks like it mounts just like the SSS model. Has anyone tried the EAB version for the short action Savage target action?

I got the one from SSS. Works just fine.
SSS has ones that either go in the mag box, or fit into the bottom of the action.
Give them a call.

I went with that one of SSS on my BVSS that fits on the bottom. It is a nice piece, seems like I glued in the back edges for a more permanent fit.

Has anyone tried one with smaller calibers like 204 or 223? I know I have bought sleds before that did not work well for 223 but worked perfectly for 308.

I had thought of trying one on my wife's Savage 110 FP in 223.
Whomever at Savage that thought " i know, we can chamber a long action for 223" should have the fleas from 1,000 camels nest in their armpits!!!

SSS has what you are looking for. Just for your Savage. Tommy Mc.

NO, that fits the early staggered attached mag. You want what Sharp Shooter Supply sells. Very slight mods needed for a snug fit. Mine, pressed into place with clear tape holding it in place. Maybe epoxy too? Doesn't move!!

Using the SSS sled in several FV12 actions, 223 and 204R, no issues.

The one I got from SSS works just fine. That 3D printed one looks interesting, might check it out for a second one.
