Savage Model 12 scope mount recommendations for 34mm tube

I have a Savage Model 12 in .223 that I'm mounting an optic on that has a 34mm tube. I bought the optic 2nd hand and it had a PSA 20 MOA mount. I had a 2pc base on the rifle which won't work with this mount so I bought a blackhawk 1pc 0 moa base. Love the new scope, love the rifle, love everything about this setup except for one thing. Since the Model 12 has a blind magazine, the solid one piece base plus combined with the PSA mount significantly blocks access to the mag well. The pic below is from the wrong side of the rifle, but you get the general idea. If the rifle were chambered in .308, it might not be as big of a deal, but I have to get my thumb or fingers in there quite a ways to shove the little .223 case down into the mag which involves smashing at least one knuckle into the PSA mount and then sliding it across the bottom edge. Can anyone recommend a set up that gets me good access to the mag well, has 20moa of elevation, fits the Model 12 action, and fits a 34mm tube? The scope is currently positioned with the turrets just about centered over the front edge of the ejection port which is perfect for me, so going back to my 2pcs base means that the rings are going to have to be cantilevered some if such a thing exists.

Thanks,
Mark

so look and see if EGW has a one pc with a side cut for loading.
look for 2 pc bases
look at burris tactical rings
that set up pretty much sucks...get rid of those rings

A regular pici rail is thin in the area of concern, leaving room to load unload, only place it touches is where the screws go to mount the base, change the base to a pici style rail

I have a Ken Farrell 20 moa base on my old staggered feed model 12 FLVSS 223 with a 34mm Steiner T5Xi scope in ARC M10 rings. Never an issue loading the blind magazine.

The only other blind magazine Savage I still have is a 110 FLP that is now a 6.5-06. While it has a Sightron 30mm scope on it, I'd have no issues running a 34mm scope on it with the Weaver 20moa base that is on it.

I use EGW one piece bases on all my Savage rifles.
Even my wife's 110 FP in 223.

They may have 34mm rings. Not sure.

Good information on your picatinny base, now for rings. Check out Arken Optics 34mm rings. I believe the Arken rings come in two heights get the taller of the two if you choose to go with them.
Also keep the 20 moa in the base, this is my personal preference.

I like the Burris Extreme bases. They provide a little more versatility than a normal two piece and stay out of the way for loading.

My main issue here is how far forward I have my scope mounted to get the right eye relief. It fits me perfectly but it also makes it impossible to mount a ring over the rear of the action. Thats why i was thinking about cantaleaver rings. Looks like TxHillBilly's Weaver mount might do the trick so long as the dovetail is still present.

I took a closer look at my problem this morning. I think my base is probably fine. It's the clamp on the rings/mount that I'm hitting. If I switch to standard rings (2 pc), it will give me more room. Since my base is 0 MOA, I'll need to replace it with a 20 MOA rail but that's fine. However, if I'm going to keep the scope in this position, I would still need cantilever rings in order to keep them out of the way. Does anyone make cantilever rings for a 34mm tube?

I use EGW rails also. If you go with Arken high rings, they are really high. The mediums are what I went with and my barrels are full bull.
You want your scope way forward. I seem to tend to mount mine back further to get a good cheek weld.
