Savage m40-22hornet

I'm looking at a used Savage m40 , kinda a neat looking beast! Does anyone out there have one, or heard much about this rig. I've got two hornets already, so I'm familiar with the hornet, just wonder if the rifle is decent??

I am like yo AI own several Hornets also. Sako 78, Ruger 77 sporter and heavy barell and I own a Savage 40. I love them all and with the Sav40 I shot some Berger 30gr and nosler40. I even shot 45/55 gr cast lead. The Savge is very accurate for me and I find because it is a single shot I can seat the bullets longer and that makes a difference. with the others you are restricted by what the clip length is or you can load single shot. I love it. I am working up loads with soem Ramshot - Enforcer and Surplus WC-820. But Lil gun and 4227 are great also
