Savage Jard trigger

I purchased the 7-12 oz jard trigger without the added safety for a 110 LA, I shoot single shot so i don't need it, I took the safety bar out installed the trigger fairly easy, had to do a little filing on the receiver area for the trigger to go into the safety and into the small slot, had to file some on the bolt release on the the inside to make it fall smoothly when taking out the bolt, but the trigger is very smooth breaks nicely, 10x better than the rifle basix I had in before, feel the trigger then move your finger and it fires, I was at first trying to put the trigger in with the safety bar and that will not happen, you have to get their safety bar before this can happen, but if you shoot single shot just take the safety bar out, maybe a little filing & fitting but you have a great trigger, it's nice I'm very pleased. I can adjust also but right now I'm enjoying feeling then firing the trigger not waiting all day for it to go boom in between flinches..it's a little high in price but it's worth every penny to me, I think it's that good.. a side note you must pull the bolt all the way back with this trigger but I think you will be pleased with the feel

A little high in price. How high

That's good to know Steve. If it was a Remington or a clone shooters wouldn't think twice about $220., just saying.

I have many Savages and a couple Sav2 RB triggers, and I can tell you that a 2oz Jewell is in a different zip area code in lightness. I still would like to try out a Jard on a Savage.

Put a Jard in a Ruger #1 and its great.....
I put a 2oz Jard in one of my Cooper Rifles and it work nice.
It isn't a Jewell !! but is nice. Compared stock trigger. At least I got a light trigger.
