Savage firing pin spring replacement

I have several Savage Model 10-12s. None have ever had the firing pin spring replaced and they are more than twenty years old. The firing pin drops with a dull thud. I change the springs in my benchrest rifles once a year and I'm sure the old Savages would benefit from the same. I've looked on You Tube, where you can normally find most everything and can't seem to locate anything on changing out the spring. Can I get some help here?

Go to savageshooters.com and check the tech articles section. It has the details and specs you need.
Charlie,
I do appreciate the suggestion, but I haven't found any articles that address the firing pin spring. If you know which one it is it would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance,
Rick

Some shooters lighten the spring to reduce bolt lift as well as dimpling the rear plate.
Wondered what caused that dimpling. Never even considered the spring. My spring tension is much heavier than factory due to making light strikes on primers. Heavier spring seemed to help. I'll have to try and reduce weight a bit. Bolt closes very hard and does dimple the case.
