unfired!

What's a reasonable offer for this setup?
I don't want to offend the owner, he's selling to buy an AR15 for 3 gun competition.

If I were making the offer, and assuming the barrel has had only 200rds down it, I'd be offering $650-$700 for it.

6.5x284s are barrel burners extraordinaire... If they have more than a couple hundred rounds through them, I deduct at least 1/3 the cost of haveing it rebarreled. If they have more than 500rds, I deduct 100% of the rebarreling cost.....

Also if this barrel was chambered by Walther, it's a SAAMI chamber.... no where near a match chamber.

Walther barrels, the upper end ones anyway) can be extremely accurate. However they make many grades of barrels, including some that are no better than your run of the mill off the rack guns....

The rifle - receiver, barrel, stock were all new the rest of the parts came from SSS. No rounds through it.
All the brass, bullets, accounted for + he's an honest guy.

I got the rifle for some 300Z car parts I had been saving for a restration job that never happened.
Might get a chance to check it out this weekend.
No match chamber, however, have a gunsmith that can change that if needed.

Thank you for the info!
