Well I got on the waiting list today for this rifle! I cant wait to get one in my hands!!

Savage says it is a safety thing. Other than that I have no clue. Bill

'Cos it trips the trigger. They're set up really light, and with the Accutriggrer it won't fire but the sear trips and the rifle's then not cocked.

This is true I have been playing with a dummy round and if you close the bolt to fast it either locks up or even trips the shear. Mine is set at about 6oz from the factory. I am going to increase it and see if it helps.
Other then that I can't wait to get some rings and base for it. Getting ready for Williamsport come spring.

My Savage F-Class is at the gun shop waiting for Uncle Sam to let me out of the sand box. I have everything else waiting for me to get home and put it all together. Savage must be selling these like hot cakes. Wonder if they're going to search for the classic Supply/Demand price point? -bnw

You could always slip in a SSS trigger and take out the saftey. That is what I have done..taking out the saftey allows you to lower the sear weight without having it trip.

Or for the price...just live with it.

Get a 20 moa base like a Warne, a good set of rings, a good scope and your good to go.
