happy new year to all
iam going to buy the savage and add a 6mmbr barrel
can you switch the bbl w/o removing the action
does this make sense?

No, you must remove the action, clamp the barrel in a barrel vise, and use a barrel nut wrench to remove the nut. On first removal, the nuts can be tough. I have two 12Fs and the first one had to be heated to remove the nut. It is worth the effort, however. I have a total of five barrels for the two rifles and it is a matter of ten minutes to remove, install and headspace.
