Savage Ejector Spring

There are some very old postings on this. Where can I get a Savage Ejector Spring? Not the kind that fly away when you try to install them. Midway, Brownells are on back order.

Since they are available, do Remington ejector springs fit?

Extractor springs for savage are the ' flying ' ones generally . Ejector springs have been known to fly but generally roll .

Yes indeed, and the extractor springs do a fine job of propelling that little ball bearing into one's forehead and off into the great beyond.

PM me, I'll drop one in the mail to you.

I would order a couple along with a ejector, extractor, extractor spring and detent ball.

2 of each will cost you very little and you'll never have to worry about it.

Another one that loves to fly fast and far is the sear spring. Lost one and never found it. And it's not as small as the ejector spring.

I ordered 3 or 4 each of the bolt head parts from Savage and keep in my kit, got tired of chasing parts around the shop. Had to sign a waiver but no big deal, and the cheapest prices around by far. The 9/64 steel balls are cheap too, work great. Google 'm.

Also bought 3 of the "improved extractor kits" from SSS but just about the time they arrived, decided to remove the ejectors from my bolt heads. No more cases laying on the magazine, or chasing them around the shooting bench. Open the bolt, remove the case and place back in the box, load another...shoot. Never have to lift my cheek off the stock. Works perfectly, 100% of the time.

either the OP mis-spoke when he said EJECTOR spring or everyone else went off on EXTRACTOR
and YES there is a newer EJECTOR that won't kill your spring with a blown primer

I am guessing that he did mean EJECTOR spring, since he asked if a Remington would fit. I believe a Remington's extractor spring is a bit different...........:)
