savage dual port target trigger

i canot believe target action trigger set at 16 oz. will go off any time, touching anything [junk] do they make a jewel for it? cant find one, help. [ lesson learned for 500.00] yul have that!

Sharp Shooter Supply offers two triggers for Savages. One must be installed by them and the other is user installable. I have the Evolution trigger on a 12F and like it. It is not as good as my Jewell triggers but very good.

Rifle Basix also makes Savage triggers. I do not have one but have read favorable comments.

Timney makes one for the 110 but that is the only model. I know nothing except that it is available.

I've got one set for 10 oz and you have to be careful closing the bolt or it will trip the safety lever (You can close it normally but can't close it hard and slam the bolt handle down) but other than that it works great. Sounds like you've got something else messed up with it.

Mine is the same as xr650rRider describes but it only breaks over the trigger if adjusted too lite. It will not discharge a round unless you depress the plastic safety shear first. This takes a little getting used to when you test the AccuTrigger for the first time. I too thought the safety was not working properly when I first tested it without a loaded round. If I adjust it less than 8-10oz, the trigger will release when closing the bolt quickly or hitting the side of the stock.

I think Savage has recently fixed this. Mr. Darrell Buell wrote about the accu-trigger in the link below. Near the end of the article, he talks about this problem. JT
