Can you drill out a small bolt 223 to fit a large firing pin on a Savage 110 and it be safe

Short answer is...... Yes. Mic your F/P & chose a drill that will yield minimum clearance so you don't end up with primer cratering. While you're at it, good idea to check F/P for proper protrusion and adjust accordingly. (sharpshooter recommends .035" to .040") If you are properly equipped this can be a fun little project. If not, source the Midway part.
