Savage bolt head question

I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I am wanting to rebarrel my savage 12 in .270wsm to a 6br. I know it is a large shank action, my question is this, the wsm's are a controlled feed and have a static ejector at the rear of the receiver. I have not been able to find a standard bolt face for a savage like this with the groove in the bolt lug. Can I just use one of their standard bolt faces with the spring/plunger ejector set-up?? -- Also I was wanting to buy a pre-fit barrel, does anyone out there have a favorite maker? I was thinking about a shilen with an 8 twist. Thoughts?
Thanks

Hope you've already found your answer, but in case you haven't.

Yes, you can remove the standing ejector and replace the bolt head with a standard size one. You may have to replace the firing pin assembly. The WSM and Standard short action bolt heads are a little different in length.

Get your stuff from Sharp Shooter Supply. They will know what you need.

As for barrels, I've had good luck on my Savages with Shilen, McGowan, Hart, Krieger, and Douglas.
