savage bolt handle questions

I have changed out a few to the factory large ball versions. they work great for me on the newer round rear guns. I would like to change out both of the ones on my strikers. they are left bolt flat back. I know physically a new style left hand will fit but will look goofy. has anyone tried to modify one in a mill to match the original handles profile where it will meet up with the rear baffle area?

Isn't the bolt handle part of the primary extraction camming surfaces ? I don't think they are interchangeble.

no the ring in front of it has the angled protrusion that the handle rides against

I hear ya. here are some pics to help
this one shows the flat rear vs round rear factory bolt handles. has anyone made the bottom look like the top using one of the factory large knob handles?

My solution would be to put the thing on there and go shooting. I used to obsess about such things but have learned they don't make the gun shoot better and also nobody else would ever notice the difference anyway.

not so worried about how it looks as how it works. ill get them coming and if needed have a friend mill them if needed
