SOLD Savage Benchrest Stock 4.40”

I’m offering for sale this custom made Savage Benchrest Stock. It is made for a 3 screw 4.40” action, but I’ve been running it on my 2 screw action with a single shot adapter. I’m going back to a Varmint stock or a Chassis for field use with this rifle. May consider trades.

Local sale in Central Ohio preferred. Will ship at buyers risk and expense.

Sorry for delayed reply. The forum software accused me of excessive bumping of a sale thread and wouldn’t let me post when I tried, and then I forgot about it. I’m getting 3 lbs 6.9 ounces on a digital postal scale.

I’ll answer a few questions that I received via PM.

1) I will include the action screws as well as a plain steel trigger guard. I’m keeping the stainless one that’s on the stock now.

2) The stock came to me bedded. I had it re-bedded to my action, which is a repeater with a single shot adapter glued in. The smith who did the work very lightly milled the area where the single shot adapter was to remove imperfections. A light skim bedding is all that would be needed to remove the milled area.

3) The stock does have aluminum pillars installed.

Last bump and I’ll pack it up and store it until I change my mind again. I always hear people wishing they had a 3” wide Savage stock and I can’t seem to move this one.

Mark I am interested in the stock I just have a few questions
1.) I have a Savage target action .223 and just want to confirm that the stock is inletted for my action
2.) Is the toe of the stock flat and aligned with the bottom of the handguard.
3.) What taper barrel do you have on your action, and what would be the largest diameter the stock can accept.
4.) Attached are photo's of my current stock if this something you might be interested as part of the deal.
