Savage barrel threading and chambering

Hey all.

Not too long before he passed, I purchased a Douglas 30 cal barrel blank from Stan Taylor here on the forum. It is #4 contour. I have a Savage 116 that I built into a 6.5-06 that I am looking to convert to something that I will actually use (no access to a 600-1200 yard range anymore). I was going to build a 338-06, but since Savages are so easy to mess around with, and because all of my suppressors are 30 cal. I have decided to build a 300 Win Mag instead.

So, what I am needing is someone who can thread this blank for a Savage small shank, chamber it in 300 Win Mag, cut it off at 22" and crown it, and thread the muzzle 5/8-24 so that I can use my suppressors on it. Bead blasting it would be an extra (not necessary).

Recommendations? Thanks!

I would reach out to Lee Gardener, @skeetlee on the forum. He has threaded and chambered several blanks to fit Savage actions for me. Some with shoulders and some with barrel nuts. The only real advantage to the nut is that you don’t have to send in your action.
