Hello all. I have for sale a Boyd's varmint stock that fits a Savage Axis or Axis II. It is right handed, inletted for a bull barrel and detachable magazine. It comes with a trigger guard. Asking $140 shipped.

I really couldn't tell you. I had a savage axis II in 300blk in this stock. It was my only ever savage rifle.


The recoil lug is not permanently attached to the action. It rests in a slot in the stock and mates up to a slot on the action.

It will not fit a Savage long or short action, Axis only.

You would have to machine the stock out for a regular recoil lug. The Axis actions have the recoil lug that is separate from the action, and is shorter in length than a traditional recoil lug, but it could be done. You'd still have to use an Axis action, though.
