Savage accutrigger installation?

This is going to sound like a dumb question but I'm having trouble installing my accutrigger. I bought a silver blade accutrigger off the classifieds, I have a target action. I know the PTA usually comes with the red blade target model but these should be interchangeable right? I can't seem to get it together so it functions properly and I was hoping somebody could point me in the direction of a video or diagram that clearly shows how it goes together. Or if anybody feels like taking the time to give me a how to lesson that would be appreciated.

I know the red blade triggers have a different sear than the standard accutriggers.

If you have the target sear it might not marry up with the standard accutrigger.

I don't the sear came with the trigger I have now. The part that is getting me is the little spring that puts tension on the sear/bolt release lever. I thought I had it but the spring contacts a little ledge on the bottom of the action. It keeps popping off the edge of the ledge when I put tension on it. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong and it would help if I could see one that's together so I can see how the spring is supposed to be.

google "savage accutrigger"....
Then at the top of the page there are a number of headings.......
click on "images"
I'm sure you can find a picture there that will help you.

Haha looks as tho I have the wrong spring. The sear spring that came with is wound backwards when compared to my buddies savage.

It should be a .045" wire diameter, left hand 90 degree. Short of finding a "factory" spring you can buy them from Master Carr, MSC and etc.

When in place.....

Mine must be a right hand then. In your pic my spring would have the small tab that's up on the inside and the longer tab on the outside so it keeps popping of the ledge holding. Thanks for the info, at least I know what to order now!

I want to resurrect this post. I am having trouble putting my accutrigger back on the barrel after a bedding job. My sear doesn't look anything like the pic above. The sear spring appears to need to be placed in side the trigger and sear housings against the action. I'm worried I lost something. I'm really frustrated by trying to get it all tensioned and pinned without stuff flying off. It seem that there is a lot of tension on the spring when I try to install it the way it looks like it fits.

Ideas? Suggestions. I have looked and looked for pics or illustrations of my trigger with no luck.

much, much easier when trigger is off
put pin through sear-spring-and hanger
then push-spring into place until pin lines up with hole in receiver
then install trigger
