Terry,

Get me whatever dimensions you've got on freebore,you may have to guess), neck diameter etc.

Savage hasn't given us any detailed specs.

Also I suggest you re-torque the three action screws. I've heard sometimes they are unevenly torqued from the factory.
 
25 lbs, despite what Savage says isn't enough.

I asked Fred Moreo at Sharpshooter Supply and he says "about 55" inch pounds, but you need to tension the screws in sequence.

I tension the screws a little then bump the gun on it's butt gently to seat the recoil lug then tighten the screws some more.

For Terry's purposes the important thing would be to get the screw tension even all around, and probably snug it up tighter than it came from the factory.
