Savage 11FYCAK .243 - recoil??

Hey gang,
Does anyone have any experience with the Savage 11FYCAK in .243 caliber? It's my daughter's first year of deer hunting this November and I'm considering buying this outfit for her - but she's a little gal and I don't want the recoil to be an issue. I'm reading advertisements suggesting the muzzle break reduces recoil by "up to" 30%,that's a bit confusing). I figure a muzzle break and a sissy pad might do the trick. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
~Scott

hey I use a .243 for coyotes, and my girlfriend who is recoil sensitive likes to shoot it as well. I think she'll be fine with or without the break. good luck.

SDS,If you have a 22-250 or a 223 you can buy Federal ammunition loaded with trophy bonded bearclaw bullets. Very very little recoil and they do a great job on whitetails.

My daughter and son both used a 22-250 with the Federal load when they were small. All the whitetails shot were complete passthroughs with great bloodtrails.

They took several deer and several hogs with this combination before they graduated to 260 Rem.

Thank you for the input, guys. I bought a .223 Savage for my daughter to use this year. No recoil, she'll spend a lot of time shooting the rifle before ever aiming it at a deer, so she should have plenty of confidence in the shot, and no fear of the recoil.
Now I'm looking for a .243 for my son, younger but bigger than my daughter). I'm thinking Browning Shortrac . . .
Take care,
~Scott
