what twist is the savage 110fp in 308? also any help on load for 600 and 1000. thanks

Believe most Savage .308 rifles have a 1:10 twist. You'd have to check yours to be sure. The 1:10 works well with a large variety of bullets.
Long range .308 loads?
Really don't have to go any farther than the article on our home page here at Accurate Shooter: http://www.6mmbr.com/308Win.html
At long range I typically use a 155 gr Sierra or Nosler match bullet loaded over Varget. Use Hodgdon's loading data and you'll have good velocity for long range shooting. Others prefer the 175 gr Sierras, an excellent choice.
That article is highly recommended reading for anyone getting into precision shooting with the .308 Win.
