SAV2 trigger recommendations?

I'm about to order a SAV2 for my latest top bolt release hunting rifle. I have replaced almost all of the other Accutriggers for bottom bolt release with SAV1 triggers.

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences or would recommend anything else in sub 1lb range.
Thanks.

JARD Built me the 1st Bottom bolt release, a Great trigger,I Have SSS comp Trigger,& a Rifle Basic II,the JARD is the Best ,for Both Top & Bott release

I installed a SAV-2 on a 6mm BR build months back, which I have yet to shoot. It was a bit tedious dialing in everything properly. However, in the end, I had a 4 oz trigger which has a nice clean break. I am not 100% confident it would pass a stringent safety test. But, this is just for a bench rifle being shot under my conditions on my property. I will most likely install another one later.

Got the SAV2 installed last night, it took about an hour following the video.

It breaks RELIABILITY at 9 oz. It's a hunting rifle so I slammed the bolt and 6" butt stock drop.

One thing, the three holes for the trigger ? I searched and could not find out what these three holes are for??

Speaking of triggers, I ran into this a few months back. rare breed trigger. They are the most awesomest trigger i have ever seen. feast your eyes. Don't know if anyone here got more info about them.

My Jard is a legit 7.5oz crisp trigger. PM me if you want to talk about it. It was not for the longest time, but I just kept tuning it.

I have SAV-2's on several of my rifles, plus installed many.

On my personal competition rifles, I had no problem getting them down to 3oz's.

Be careful with any trigger set at 3oz's.

FYI, I never leave a loaded round in my rifles. They get chambered when I am ready to pull the trigger!

The Sav 2 triggers are common in the 600yd competition group I shoot with. These folks run them as light as they can get them safely...mine are 4-5 oz. I have installed 3 of these on top release actions. I still find them a bit tricky to install and can be very time consuming to get all adjustments made to you liking...creep, weight, overtravel. Nothing like a Jewell for comp bench shooting but I think they are a great replacement for the un- accutrigger...esp if you just want a nice trigger at 12 oz or so for general target shooting or varmint hunting. Interesting! I guess I have installed so many of them, I have not had any problems setting them up!

I installed a Jewell trigger, and it took me several hours to do so! It's all what your use to!

Take Care, Dennis

I have a Sav-2 stuck in the mail some where with this snow storm on its way from Northland SS. It will be my first one. It couldn't find another SSS Competition trigger anywhere but I have 4 of those and I am pleased with them. My SAV-2 is going on a 22-250 AI for varmints. I couldn't bring myself to spend the extra money on a the Jard if you have to buy a safety with it as well. I will save up and purchase a Bighorn action so I can use a 700 type trigger and stock for next built.

Luck, Tim
