If you were heading into the back country with a group, to recover an abducted person from a clan of Sasquatch ..you can only have one rifle, or one hand gun because you need to carry medical equipment and gear.
What gun would you bring? What caliber? Would it make you feel safe. Where would you aim if given a clear line of sight.
Let's have it...I know every one of you have played out this scenario mentality in full detail..hahaha.
Let's have a little fun with this.
I think I would feel pretty comfortable with an AR-10 in 458 win mag. And a few 20rd mags.
Gotta have the old k-bar also just in case..because a man with out a knife, is a man with out a life.
I have added a photo of our intended target..this is what we are up against

Bleeding half the energy off for the cool factor...Let him try that with a bolt gun and 500 grain max charges.

If I could carry a rifle it would be my 450 Bushmaster loaded with Barnes 325 Busters at 2100fps. If a handgun it would be my BFR 500JRH, 440's at 1350fps.

I have a trusted friend that saw one a few miles from my house about 15 years ago.

But my ultimate weapon would be the name of Jesus Christ! It packs a much larger punch than anything I own!

I see some one mentioned the 450 bushmaster
I don't know anything about it but I did buy a marlin soon as they hit the streets in 450 marlin..and WOW!...that like throwing a sledgehammer through the forest..hahaha..one large chunck of lead..
I'm sure a magazine tube of those would drop anything in the US. I believe the 450 bush master is the same bullet just a smaller case with rebate rim if I remember correctly.. those go against my O.C.D..I can't look at a cartridge with a smaller rim then the case diameter....it makes all my hair itch..hahaha it's just not right
I had purchased the rifle for a Minnesota bear hunt ..didn't have anything but a good time...all the bears were in town dining in everyone's trash cans not out in the forest..

from all the new research it seems to me if you shoot a Sasquatch you bet have more then one magazine; because a bolt gun isn't gonna cut it..
Those things seem to operate in clans and while your messing with one the entire family has an eye on you..
No way a man can sneak up to a squatch in a hunting manner..
An I'm thinking Florida skunk ape ..I couldn't imagine squaring off with one of those Alpha males in Alaska..save your ammo for yourself
