Sartorius Entriss 64-1S

Currently have the Denver MXX-123 scale. Tired of the drifting. Looking to purchase the Sartorial Entris 64-1S scale. Any recommendations on where to purchase.....based on prices.

Also looking at the Omega 2-speed power trickler. All the video sources demo with "stick" powder. Any info on the Omega with ball powders?

I bought mine from Precision Weighing Balances. It is a great scale. Much faster and more accurate. There was a thread on here and a guy had a link where they were a little cheaper. Cant remember which thread or forum. Matt

I trickled CFE 223 ball powder which is pretty fine with the Omega/Dandy trickler. Dropping .01-.02 grain is no problem. It is adjustable and you slow it down or speed it up. This is .02 grain of 2 different powders.

Precision weighing balance was the best deal around. I opted for the Sortorious, and plan on making my own powder drop, with the Omega trickler to finish. That's as soon as they get them back in stock anyway.. ..

fwiw,
I'm more than happy with mine...

I found the comment below interesting...

I agree with you that the best price vs performance seems to be with the FX-120i. The 0.1mg resolution of the HR-100A or Entris 64 is nice to have just so the scale resolution is an order of magnitude greater than the weight of a typical kernel and it also usually means better linearity in the scale. However, I seriously doubt I could shoot the difference between charges weighed on the FX-120i compared to the HR-100A / Entris 64 as the linearity difference between them translates into +/- 1 kernel of possible additional error for the FX-120i.

After much thought I have decided that my Denver MX-123 is not as worthless as I thought. I will keep it. My loading environment would cause a lot of "problems" to surface; eg: wiggly bench, fluorescent lights, not dependable a/c supply.

I do realize that the Omega powder trickier will be a plus for me. So I will purchase one of those.

Thanks again for the info.

RCBS still has separately sold anodized aluminum pans. They are not as heavy weight as the old pans sold with their balance beams but very adequate still.

I might suggest you watch for a Mettler PB303 on Ebay. You'll get a good dependable 0.01 grain readability for a couple hundred bucks.

Joe R; It is the environment that would work against me. My bench is not that steady, I have a huge 4 tube florescent ceiling light, computer wifi within 4ft., same for the portable phone master. None of these items are easily changeable/movable.

rardoin; I picked up three of the bronze colored scale pans from RCBS approx 4 or 5 years ago.

However, not being one to store money, I ordered out the AMP Annealer yesterday from Graf's & Son.
