Sam Hall wins the Eagle at Piedmont Gun Club IBS 600 Yard. Sam had a great year, as he always does. He shot very consistent, and stayed on top, or near the top all year. He puts in the time, and has the knowledge, and that always pays off. It has been great shooting with him all year. Shooting against competition like him, makes all of us better shooters. CONGRATULATIONS MY FRIEND, you deserve it. I sure do wish you would take up golfing or fishing.......

Big congrats from me buddy, I’ve always told you, in my eyes your the best that’s ever sat behind a rifle at 600, your always the one or one of 15 anymore I should say to beat, also the knowledge you have at this game goes unmatched, you’ve always helped me in many ways and always answer anything I’ve ever asked, that means a lot to me !!!!!!!
Way to go Piedmont SOY

Joey

Thanks guys for the nice gestures!! You guys feel like family. As Chris Nichols said, I had two major health problems in 2015 and 2016 that I though had taken me out of shooting for good. It has taken me years to battle back to close to normal. I set out this year to prove to myself that cancer did not get the best of me! I really did not think I would ever be able to compete with this new group shooters at Piedmont. The competition there is fierce and gets better and better every year. This year has been especially memorable since my son has accompanied me. I actually would have preferred he won SOY, he was in the top all year anyway. He also shot a group smaller than I have in my 17 years of 600 yard shooting, a 0.536 I think it was.
Seth, thank you for missing the first match! It may have turned out different if you had made all the matches. Lol. You made a strong run, as did you dad!
I would like to thank Tommy Williams, Piedmont’s Match Director and Club President. He has been a true rock behind the success of the 600 yard discipline over the years. And thank you to all the members that work as safety officers, target runners, and everyone else that helps to give us a great place to shoot! Sincerely, Samuel Hall
