I guess I'm not sure whether it's a L46 or L461. My paperwork from buying it years ago says L461. I was told the L461 wasn't done Rehimaki but I'm not a Sako person so have to cry uncle. I'm pretty confident that it's original stock although it has a Pachmayr butt pad. Don't mean to miss represent the rifle. It's a very nice Sako whatever it is. Sorry, Rick

Might be worth trying to lookup a manufacture date using the serial #
L46 has a detachable magazine, made 1946-mid 1960, later models are stamped Bofors Steel on right of barrel near the action … L461 has a hinged floor plate
Rhiihimaki is where it was made and is not a model designation.
The stock is not original.

Not trying to berate your ad, just trying to be helpful…rifle action and barrel look to be in great shape.

All SAKO’s are nice rifles.
Does your rifle have remove able magazine or does it have a floor plate.
Don’t take offense to the guys commenting on your rife. They are sharing their knowledge on what you have.

Thanks guys no offense taken. I truly appreciate the help. Clearly don't know that much about Sako's and clearly a big difference between them, It doesn't have a magazine. It does have Bofors Steel stamped on the barrel. I'll pull the barrel and action and see if I can find any more information. As I said was totally going from my paperwork when I bought the rifle years ago listing it as a L461 I'll see what I can find. Thanks for all the help.

I was able to look up the serial Number and it shows L46. Someone contacted me and said the model is identified on the action but I was not able to locate it.
