Sako TRG22 Prone Setup

Hello All,

Been lurking on this site a long time, just registered today.

I've just recently got a TRG22 and am getting into F-Class TR. With a Harris 6 to 9 inch bipod the rifle sits to high with a rear rest sitting in the hook in the butt.

I'm looking to find out what sort of setup people are using, am thinking about getting a Sinclair bipod, not sure what rear rest to go with.

I use the accu-shot monopod on my TRG with the upgrade; to Quick Knob it is an excellent product and works very well.

If your interested in F-Class equipment Try long-range.com:

There's a lot of dicussion on Bi-Pods.

The sako bipod is better in that the rifle hangs lower, rather than sitting on top of the bipod like the Harris does, and the legs are wider apart and feel way more stable than Harris.
But i don't like the way trg bipod swivels from side to side so easily with no way of locking it in position or stiffing it up.

I have a 9 to 13 in. Harris on my TRG 42. Seems to be too high to suit me. Makes you use two or three bean bags under butt and you have to raise your head and upper body up to high. Going to get a 6 to 9 tomorrow and see if that helps. Tired of digging dirt out under bipod to lower rifle.

I would have look at the acc-shot bipods too and compare heights, Sinclair v acc-shot both are well made, then make your decision, If your so inclined.

I have a sinclar bipod and really like it. My only complaint is the feet are rounded I guess to allow for the rocking of recoil but I would prefer a talons or small spike footing to help with recoil as I tend to lean into the rifle as I think you should.

My rifle sits as low as I can go in the prone position.
