Sako Riihimaki 222

Pretty sure its got the 16 twist barrel. What's a good bullet/powder combo that might show good accuracy in this little rifle? I tried some 52 grain Berger match and H335 and it didn't seem to like that load very well. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!!

After I posted this I saw where 3 years ago I was asking almost the same questions. I had forgot about that little Sako. This one is just as nice but it has been fired and its the varmint model. The other was a sporter.

Amazing for their age the L46, a 222 varmint barrel here that still shoots lights out.
4198 and 50gr #2240 Hornady is what this one likes.

I once owned a Sako-Riihimaki sporter in .222, and mine also had a 1-in-16" rate of twist. My best accuracy was obtained by using IMR-4198 & either 45 or 50 grain bullets.

52 and 53 sierras shot very well in mine.

While 4198 shot best in mine with 50s & 52s, 3031 & even 748 were real close. One of the few rifles I wish were still in the safe.
