Sako Optilock windage problem question

I have sako rifle that has been rebarreled and it’s a great shooter. Problem is with rebarrel and windage adjustment. I feel the bases and rings are spot on but rebarrel alignment may have been off enough to create my problem. I’ve read and thought about this and have actually used different rings that worked fine with a different scope - still windage way off but enough clicks to correct. i need to use the optilocks in order to get enough clearance for NF br scope. One thought and the question is has anyone ever used z ring inserts with some adjustment using z inserts with the optilocks instead of optilock inserts. Not much of a way to trim the sako inserts but i know the z ring inserts come in different thickness and i have a few on hand. I’m not a fan of “rigging” something but would really like to use this scope on this particular rifle and with my situation I’m just trying to have a solid mount and use the sako mounts. I know you might be thinking use a rail and rings but I’ve spent way too much on mounts trying to get enough height for nf scope already. I know height is right with high optilock rings and a rail may not correct my windage problem if i do buy. Has anyone modified inserts or used z inserts with sako rings or ever heard of different thickness inserts for sako or have another idea fo me to try. I do have a scope on the rifle now and it works fine just want more magnification. I appreciate any thoughts on this.

The Burris Rings with inserts are top shelf. Not that they couldn't be better in some areas but that they are very good and are an absolute problem solver and great design. They are all I use whenever possible.
Jewell made a ring on the same principle years ago. I wish someone would again, in a premium ring for BR. The Burris is heavy. I really think that if someone would offer a BR specific ring with the delrin(or whatever) inserts, available in different offset values, like the Burris...they'd be on virtually every br rifle in short order. They don't slip, won't mar the scope and allow you not only more moa but more importantly, to optically center the crosshairs. This allows for better optical and mechanical performance and reliability from the scope.

I have a set of Valdada Sako 2-piece bases that keep rings centered on the dovetails. I went with Opti-locks because I did not need the height, but definitely had to play with windage issues.
The Valdada bases are heavy steel and not near as handsome as the Opti-lock but handle the windage issues great! thumbnail_20190320_152735_resized.jpg
