Sako Base Adapter

I have a Sako Model 579 that I would like to convert to weaver style thru the use of adapters. I seen several YouTube videos about doing it (Could it really be that complicated?) but they do not mentioned where they got them. Anybody here done this
before? I would appreciate your source on them.

Near may still be making pic rails for these, IOR used to make them. I have some of the old steel IOR bases and they are well made. Other than that, It's kind of hard to find the stuff and usually expensive, I would call Near and see what they say.

We found something from Talley that looks like it will work. Adapter bases that will fit Sako I,II, III, L461 and 579, S491, M591 and Model 85. Hope this helps if anyone else is looking for such a thing.

If you have tapered dovetails on your receiver, you will need to find Weaver #65 (48065) and #67 (48067) bases. I found mine on ebay.
