Sako AII action what should I do?

Hello all I have never posted here before and read through about ten pages of stuff and everyone seems civil enough so I am going to post this question:) I've just come into possession of a sako mid size action with a .308 boltface. Is this action worth me building a rifle on?

I'm trying to decide what caliber, length of barrel and contour, what stock and all of the rest of the details... Come on guys, give me some ideas....22br, 6br, 22 or 6mm dasher, .243 with a slow twist 6x250. The options are endless...

I currently have a rem 22br, .223, .220 swift, 6mmrem, .17 hornet, .308, 22-250AI, .223AI, .222mag and various rimfires. Just looking for something to fit in the holes......

Any recommendations for a smith would be appreciated as well... I was going to originally try and contact Mike Bryant but it doesn't look like he is currently taking any work. My last .223 rebarrel was done my a gentlemen local to me but I can't remember his name. Bill Shehane had recommended him to me....

Is there anything different about this action that I should be aware of compared to a remington 700?

My 22br is on a rem 40x single shot action and the barrel is about gone.. Its already been rechambered twice. It's is in need of a new barrel as well... Would this be a better choice over the Sako action for my 6mm project?

Rifles are mostly used for punching paper but get out occasionally to shoot land bound squirrels;)
