Sako A1 extra high 30 mm mounts ?

I'm new to this Sako stuff , I got a mint A1 6ppc with a 40x Leupold that is mounted in some kind if rings that favor Burris and clamp directly to grooves on receiver.
They aren't near high enough ..

Do all the Sako rifles use the same mounts? I would like a set of rings like are on it in extra high or a set of options loks either one...in just not sure what all will work.

The Opti Loks would be the best way to go for your application but I'm not sure they come in X-High. You might check with MGW or look on Gunbroker. With the scope you have I really don't think you need any higher than medium or high if that is typical Leupold 40mm front end.

its 45mm front,,the main thing is I like to get my head up off the stock,,

Back when I had my sako's, Leupold had the rings needed for mounting scopes. They more than likely still do.

You could get a rail from http://www.nearmfg.com/ and stick any ring on there that you like

Eric, I had a 2 piece weaver base and a set of Extra High Burris Signatures on mine that looked and worked really well.
I probably still have the bases if needed. I'll send them to ya.

Eric, I have to apologize all I have is the empty weaver packages Item 65 & 67. I must have left them on the rifle. LDS

If you want the scope pretty high, that package with the Weaver adapters and Burris Signature rings will be hard to beat; love those rings.
