sako 85 varmint in 222?

The local gun dealer just had somebody trade in a sako 85 varmint in 222 the gun is in perfect condition and is selling for 950.00. I'm in the market for a good 223 but would consider this one. What do you think, get a 222 or wait and get a 223?

furhntr: 222 Rem. is a really great cartridge, extremely accurate and easy to load for: almost any good combination of components will produce sub MOA groups, but, it is limited to around 200 yds., maybe 250 under "ideal" conditions. 223, with heavy/light bullets, fast/slow twist barrels can be extremely accurate out to around 600 yds.,, on paper targets), or 100 yds., or anything in between. Both great rounds, I have numerous versions of both, and enjoy them all.:)

65BR: Very interesting. Just checked the newest Hodgdon and Lyman manuals & can find no references to using Lil Gun in the 222 Rem. I'd like to try it, have some 40 gr. remaining). Where did you get the loading info? Five shot group sizes and how did it hold up in the wind?:)

3600 fps out of a 222? I don't doubt it. I was getting 3400 fps out of a 221 with 40 grain Blitzkings with Lil gun.
