Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held their monthly IR50/50 Double 3-Card Unlimited match at Sac Valley Shooting Center today and the 9 shooters who showed up had a challenging day of rimfire fun! Conditions were typical for this time of year although we did get a nice break from the excessive heat we had been dealing with temps only in the low 80's for the morning.
The infamous Ione Triangle conditions kept everyone on point, 3-5 mph breezes to start mostly tailwind out of 7-8:00 with the occasional reverse to keep it interesting. By the time we got to card #6 late morning it was 8-12 with some pretty interesting switches. Note the scores on the last card!
Greg took card #1 with a 248-13x, followed by Francis Lee & Pierre Bigras both shooting 247-13x, Francis taking the tiebreaker for 2nd. Card #2 was taken by Francis with a 249-14x (high card of the Agg), Pierre 2nd at 248-12x, Dan Lutke breaking a 4-way 247 tie for 3rd with 13x's. Card #3 was won by Greg with a 249-12x, Dan 2nd at 248-14x, Francis 3rd with a 246-9x.
Agg 1 Results:
1st: Greg Wilson 744-37x
2nd: Dan Lutke 742-38x
3rd: Francis Lee 742-36x
Rolling right in to Agg 2 with the conditions picking up I somehow managed to pull off a 249-17x (high score of the match!) to take Card 1 with Randy Kirkbride 2nd at 248-13x, Pierre right behind in 3rd with a 248-9x. Dan won Card 2 with a nice 248-8x, outdistancing a pair of 245's with me out x'ng Pierre for 2nd 10x to 8x. Now on to Card 3 with the conditions getting pretty
squirrelly. When the dust had cleared (literally) and the cursing stopped, Pierre prevailed with a really nice for the conditions
243-9x, Dan 2nd at 240-13x, Randy 3rd with a 240-3x.
