I have a secondhand STR mk1 in 308 the first time firing it I used American Eagle factory rounds and found that when chambering the rounds they stuck and it was very hard to close the bolt., once fired the bolt opened ok, I also tried reloaded ammo with the same result.
I had the rifle in with my local dealer and after having the same problem it was found that the neck size on the ammo causing the problem was 8.7-8.9 when I tried factory RWS rounds and another make it was found they were giving a neck size of 8.4-8.5 and they loaded ok with no problems.
Also when firing the rifle the mag slips out and has to be pushed back up and reseated.
Anyone else had this problem
