SAAMI specs for .308 bullets

Hi guys
Dont know if this is the right place to ask, but...

I have a doubt. We are obtaining authorization to produce jacket projectiles with lead cores in caliber 308 (in Brazil)
However, the authorities are stating that the same projectile (say 168 BTHP) must be tested for pressure, dimensions, accuracy, etc in all calibers for which this projectile can be used (308 Winchester, 30.06 SPRG, 300 WM, 300 WSM, 300 H&H, etc.) in order of obtain authorization to produce. They claim that the SAAMI standard determines this.
This will be very expensive
Is there really a standard that says that the projectile must be tested in all calibers for which it can be used to reload?

It seems to me that the logical thing would be to just check if the dimensions fit within the standards and not for the laboratory to reload to see the pressure generated, as the pressure is determined by the powder charge, among others.
If it were selling ready-made ammunition, with primers, powder and projectile, it would even be coherent. But just the projectile seems strange to me.
Therefore, would anyone know if this procedure is recommended by SAAMI or are they just creating difficulties?

TIA

I don't know the answer for certain, but I doubt SAAMI would require operation of a bullet in several cartridges.

When I looked at the SAAMI website they don't have specifications for bullets.

The only thing I see is the bullet diameter in the SAMMI specs. The 308 and 30-06, of course, have the same bullet specs.

Diameter is the only thing spec'd by SAAMI. Nothing about weight or design. They are being difficult. Explain to them the relationship between bullet diameter with bore and groove dimensions. All SAAMI specs. That is only thing that matters in this conversation.

What "authorities"?

What "authorities"?
In this case, the Army, which controls guns and ammunition and their production. My question is that there is a SAAMI standard for pressure for loaded ammunition, but it does not apply to the projectile only.

I suspect whomever in the Army said that doesn't know the difference between a projectile (bullet) and a loaded cartridge, not to mention other related components.

Maybe resubmit your request and refer to them as barrel drain plugs offered in one or more diameter and length. Likely fly right through approvals.
