Same field as last night but I carried in my folding shooter's bench. The .17 Fireball got the nod again because it is just off a residential area. Saw one at 50 yards first but it disappeared, never to be seen again, before I could get on it. After basking in the sun for a bit and watch a Red Fox sun himself I see this one at 90 yards looking away from me. I centered the Xhairs on the back of his skull and sent it. Another for you Snert my friend with an exit out the Sow's mouth!
A while later one appears at 270 yards but does the same disappearing act as the first.
After a short wait I see one at 200 and it goes down before I get on it however reappears later 5 yards to the left. Xhairs on it's noggin and I see the dust fly off it! 202 yards and a Boar.
In a matter of minutes I have one up at 243 lasered yards. I make the necessary come-ups and send it. Bullet exits the chin!
Things slowed down and I got company in the adjoining orchard so I called it a night. Very relaxing after a long week!
