RWS ammo

I know everyone wants this brass and this may fit the bill, midway has loaded rws ammo for about the price you'll pay for just the brass. http://www.midwayusa.com/Promotion/default.aspx?promotionid=491142&cm_cat=HotBuy&cm_ite=Main_Image&cm_lm=sp:chris.stewart1987@gmail.com&cm_ven=Spop-Email&cm_pla=HotBuy_30520113_RWS&CustNum=100967631

wvuredneck09,
Thanks for the site, You can already buy good .308 and 30-06 brass but for guys wanting to have good .300 wm or wsm or any variants of them this would be a good opportunity ;)

what is the saying?

OH, YA, IF IT LOOKS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROABLY ISN'T - or words to that effect.

word is passing about that RWS LOADED AMMO has brass with a HEAD STAMP - 'NORMA' word has it that a number of companies have merged and the loaded ammo is the result.

now haveing said that, what we need is for someone to buy some and report on it.

I'm not in the US, but the RWS factory loads I have bought here in the UK for a number of calibres have all definitely been marked RWS. There is a noticeable difference in the brass when you compare Norma and RWS side by side. RWS/RUAG brass has a reputation here for being the best you can get (although whether it is better than Lapua I can't say).

I've got loads of the .308 RWS cases that supply the UK NRA. Are they really any good ? I've only used Lapua and was thinking about selling my RWS but should i just keep it and use that instead ?

i will pose this thought__

if you could get 'just rws brass' what would pay?? - about .90 - 1.10 @.

now how can you buy 'loaded' ammo [with the 'good' brass] at just about the same price???

just to good to be true - but???

if you think it's the same brass - go ahead and buy it - just don't come around weinning when it isn't.

Just pose your question to Midway's customer service.

Joe is absolutely spot on, I don't think Larry would instruct his employees to purposely lie to the public if put on the spot on the subject. If I were interested in this brass I would call and ask a couple of specific questions,
#1- Is this genuine RWS brass, made by RWS
#2- Are these seconds and if so what is wrong with them?
Go ahead and buy one box, then cry when its the good stuff and there out of stock or buy 100 boxes and cry when its a clone.
Me I would call if interested like Joe said.
Wayne.

calling maybe the easy way, but, what does the rep. know about it, or even the tech rep.?

you would have to go all the back to the manufacter and than they may not tell you.

as far as the ammo in the UK, i doubt it's the same as we get here. getting something into and out of UK is a lot stricter than here or CANADA [firearms related].
