Running on "Rails"

I admire your attention to detail. I made something similar to fit my tube gun but I didn't bevel all of the edges and I certainly didn't get artful with the milling pattern. Man, you do nice work!

Something I have been meaning to make and try for a while. The flat side has padding to pull down on a curved forend of a varmint rifle or sporter stock. Screw spacing fits most dual stud stocks that I know of . Once the rails get settled into the bag, it is like running on rails.:D:D A few pics to check out.:)

Since this is for a sporter stock, something that may be appealing is to add a high "sidewall" to it that would mate to a SEB front rest bag horseshoe, or a SEB three bag-series. I have done this with hardwood for my own F-Open adaptive sporter stocks. A team mate on Team Berger has done them in aluminum for his F-Open stocks. It's wide open for you, I can assure you that neither of us are interested in marketing out product!!!!

Just bought one of these from Brownells.

3" Front rest adapter

I'd rather have one of Pauls. I suggest making the padding an option. I use this on all my chassis mounted rifles so I can do load development from the bench rather than on my belly...most if not all chassis have a flat surface for this to bolt to.

If you do a large run of them, clear annodizing would prevent oxidation of the aluminum.

What is the material the rails are made of? or is that just slick tape?

I made a very similar 5 inch wide forearm shoe for my F-open rig. One nice trick is to slot the rear screw hole from side to side so you can adjust it like a rudder to get the tracking dead nuts.
Nice job, Good Luck
