running hot with moderate loads.

I’m currently using 43.5 gr of varget in my .308 and find that on hot days the load runs too hot. Even though 43.5 is a moderate load for the 168 A-Max it just seems that the load is unstable. On some days that load shots great but the slightest variation in temperature, load, seating depth throws it right out.

I’ve tried using reloder 15 and the gun just doesn’t like it. Dose any one have any suggestions? Should i use a slower burring powder? Dose any one have any luck with reloder 17 or vihtavouri n150?

I seem to have the same issue with Varget in a 250 savage. Temperature and elevation changes seem to take it from a moderate load to a hotter load. I am starting to get some slight primer pocket cratering and a few with a sticky bolt. Also seems to depend on how hot the gun is. Should a elevation change from 1800'above sea level to 6900' above sea level make a big difference.
