run out on new ammo, seems off, opinions please?

i have a accuracy one concentricity guage. i've been shooting this ammo made by the one company that i can get new ammo from for my 6.5 saum gap 4s. paid extra for the norma brass. the concentricity seem really bad, imo. i checked some prime 6.5 creedmore ammo as well and it was awesome at .0005. this norma stuff is hitting .020. i loaded the quick video on youtube, will try to put on here but could someone check out the video and give me an opinion,, am i missing something,, will this shoot good? should new ammo be like this? thanks

well, talked to ammo guy who made the ammo, it was necked down from 7mm and he said it is normal to see that, told me i have to fire form it. man, what a waste of money.

How does it shoot? Prob 90-95% of the guys here reload ourselves because we feel we can make better ammo rolling our own

I'd send it back and get it replaced. I once bought some new Hornady .308 brass that was similar with the neck not centered, but it wasn't this bad. I had to anneal all of them and resize to get them straight.

they told me no returns, which sucks cause it was 6$ a round for that ammo. like 375$ shipped and now i can't really use it for anything, i dont' want to mix it in with my new hornady brass, and i don't trust it to shoot for hunting ,,,,dang, talk about disappointing!

I’ve never seen ammo that bad either from a factory or handloaded. Never.

Many many hand loaders on this site neck down far more than they did and concentricity is not an issue. Even if they hydro formed it... My opinion is they mucked it. 20 thou out I’d be very surprised to see 2” groups no matter the quality of the rifle or barrel.

I bought some specialty ammo one time from a place that formed the cases. I bought twenty rounds and when it failed my expectations I told the business why I would not be purchasing any more. He called me a year later and asked me to check out his ammo as he’d changed his process. Second time the ammo was very good. Sorry about your experience.

 All I gotta say. Run it on the neck itself. Some of that brass you ran looks like there is more then just runout in the bullet.

well, yes i have shot it cgmac and it didn't shoot that well. i was puzzled. and i think i have the right to complain a bit, i paid a lot for that ammo and i think they dropped the ball a bit.

suasponte, yes, the runout in the neck is pretty much the same. i have some other ammo from them with hornady brass and the necks are pretty good but the bullets wobble. since i am not knowledgable enough to know how much wobble is normal, once again, i put in some factory prime ammo and there was zero wobble. i don't think they hydroformed it, they took norma brass, necked it down, i guess i don't know if they neck turned it or not, maybe i am using the terms "necked down" and "neck turned" interchangably when i should not be.

dusty,,, i am not going to use this brass now which is why i feel sad, the run out seems jacked up, even the once fired brass is .002-.004 on the neck run out. i am sticking with the hornady and i dont' want to mix brands.
